Mr. Meng has been named to The Best Lawyers in America® (2001-2010), Kentucky Super Lawyers (2010) and has been elected a Fellow in the American College of Real Estate Lawyers. He has long been active in the Energy and Mineral Law Foundation, serving as President (2003-04); Vice President (2002-03); Treasurer (2001-02); and member of the Executive Committee (1998-2006). Mr. Meng has made presentations at numerous Energy and Mineral Law Foundation Annual Institutes and University of Kentucky Mineral Law Seminars. His topics have included: Prior to entering private practice, Tom served one year as Law Clerk to Hon. Scott Reed, Chief Justice of the Kentucky Supreme Court.

Tom Meng is a Member of the firm based in its Lexington office, where he is a member of both the Natural Resources Service Group and the Real Estate & Banking Service Group. His career in natural resources and real estate law spans more than 30 years. In particular, he has represented coal, oil and gas and utility companies on property rights, coal supply contracts, contract mining agreements, regulatory compliance, acquisitions of mining operations, and financing.
