Haley Dickerson is an Associate in the firm's Lexington office where she is a member of the Intellectual Property and Technology Group. Haley's practice is primarily devoted to trademark and copyright transactional and prosecution matters, in addition to intellectual property litigation. Haley's IP litigation experience includes disputes involving patents, copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets, and domain names.

Recent Assignments

  • Co-authored the U.S. Supreme Court amicus curiae briefs on behalf of the American Intellectual Property Law Association in the copyright infringement class action Reed Elsevier v. Muchnick, Civ. No. 08-103
  • Part of a team that obtained a favorable resolution of a copyright infringement case involving architectural plans on behalf of national construction business
  • Developed an IP Policy for a national, non-profit organization

Haley joined Stites & Harbison in September 2007 after participating in the firm's summer associate program in 2005 and 2006. During college, Haley served as a White House intern in the Vice President's Legislative Affairs office.

Intellectual property law is a natural choice for Haley, whose creative family members include an actor and songwriter, a screenwriter, a television producer, and a television executive.

More Than Stites & Harbison

Haley serves on Cardinal Hill Hospital's Junior Board, Kentucky Educational Television's Summer Celebration Auction Committee, and Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure's Registration Committee.  In 2005, Haley completed the LaSalle Bank Chicago Marathon as part of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team in Training program and continues to support various charities by participating in local foot races.

In her spare time, Haley enjoys running, spending time with her family, friends, and husband, Dan, and cheering on the Kentucky Wildcats.
