Juan Carlos Marquez has 20 years of experience in patent prosecution, intellectual property licensing and enforcement, and technology transfer. He has a background in electrical engineering and is one of 17 Registered Patent Attorneys currently with the firm. Mr. Marquez has an extensive patent law practice in preparing and prosecuting patent applications world-wide in a wide variety of technological arts, in drafting patentability, validity, infringement and right-to-use opinions, and in supporting IP litigation matters. He has prosecuted over 2000 patent applications and drafted patent applications in a wide variety of technological arts. He regularly counsels clients on validity, infringement and licensing issues.

Mr. Marquez is registered to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans' Claims, and has represented indigent veterans before the Court and before the Board of Veterans' Appeals at the Department of Veterans' Affairs on a pro bono basis.

Mr. Marquez enjoys golfing, tennis and martial arts. He is a self-described computer hardware geek who plays computer games and builds desktop computers for home use in his spare time.
