Waterfront Park, Louisville

Waterfront Park draws millions of people to downtown Louisville every year.  The first, 55-acre phase opened July 1999, and the second phase (35 acres) opened June 2004 and the third phase (to include the Big Four Bridge as a walkway across the Ohio River) is under way.  Hargreaves Associates has been master planner and landscape architect for the park, American Contracting & Services was general contractor, Moffat & Nichol was project engineer, and Bravura served as project architect.  Stites & Harbison's team, led by John Tate and Jim Williamson, assisted the Waterfront Development Corporation in overcoming key obstacles to assembling the site.
