Historic Scottish Rite, Decatur, Ga.
Stites & Harbison's Richard Stephens provided legal TLC for one of the metro Atlanta's best known adaptive reuse projects.
The much-loved Scottish Rite building was designed in 1919 by Neel Reid, one of Atlanta's most renowned architects. The building—now listed on National Register of Historic Places—housed the original Scottish Rite Children's Hospital and was in use until the mid 1970s.
Vacant for almost three decades, this historic structure is now a mixed-use facility with over 3,000 square feet of space for special events, community gatherings, recreational and educational programs.
