Members of Stites & Harbison have a wealth of experience handling litigation arising from motor vehicle accidents, including accidents involving trucking companies. Their experience includes the handling of wrongful death, personal injury, property damage and cargo claims for regional and national carriers. The firm has defended claims involving complicating factors, including airbrake failure, wheel loss, loss of load or imbalanced load, and violation of federal or state transportation regulations. The firm has represented a number of self-insured trucking companies and insurance companies in the defense of claims asserted against trucking companies. Representative clients include major carriers and manufacturers. The firm has also represented truck and other manufacturers in product liability actions involving vehicles and at least one client in accidents involving its captive fleet.
